IEC takes the initiative of insuring quality results by initiating a Value Engineering Study of a product design to determine it's design for x (DFx).

DFx consists of:

• Design for Manufacturability
• Design for Testability
• Design for Material
• Design for Assembly

DFx is performed on any assembly that has either quality and/or labor savings issues that can be improved through redesign. Giving our customers the cost-benefits options upfront. The DFx utilizes an 86 point detailed check list that is provided to the customers.
